Jonnie Wright - Inspirational Bible Studies

Author Biography

For thirty years I have written and taught innovative curriculum for both children and adults.  In the public schools of California, I literally touched the lives of thousands of children in grades 1-6 through my inventive programs in science, computers, music, and physical education.  I pioneered lessons in computer use and time-management for teachers, contributed lessons to a national teachers’ magazine, received a grant in computer literature from my school district, and have written the Christian teachers’ workbook Lord, What Do I Do with Sammy?

Being resourceful, my teaching background and church position as Director of Women’s Ministries facilitated a novel approach to the development and teaching of adult Bible studies.  Through hands-on activities and demonstrations, participants had fun while increasing their understanding of Scripture.  The position in Women’s Ministries also allowed me the opportunity to organize and coordinate women’s retreats, seminars, classes and workshops.

Now that Fibromyalgia has retired me from teaching and church responsibilities, I’m motivated to write a series of encouraging books specifically designed for people who suffer from chronic pain. When we can apply Scripture to our daily circumstances, we are empowered rather than overwhelmed.  The Silver Bullet is the first published book in the series.

I’m well enough now to facilitate a Chronic Pain Support Group in my Rocklin home sponsored by Adventure Christian Church in Roseville, CA. Besides writing, my busy life includes: Women’s Ministries activities, Bible study, Chatty the cat who “rules the roost,” my adult son Joshua, swimming exercises, Sudoku, and reading mystery stories. Truly my life is imbued with the sweetness of the Lord and sprinkled with many colorful friends as my picture reveals.
