I had to share this today: 12/07Heart Song                                            r.b.lee“Lord! Lord!” I cried out from bended knee!
“I can’t walk!  I’m crippled!  Can’t you see?!
My wife is dead!  I called out to You!!
I stood in faith and what did you do?!!”

“My car is a mess and my life isn’t full!
“Debt squeezes me dry!  There’s no piece in a lull!”
I stood and shook my fist to the sky,
And shouted out, “Why be here?  I’d rather die!!”

Then He told me, “Speak out my son and give me your pain,
I want you to live in Me that my glory you’ll gain!
I want to heal your broken heart and see you through,
To look beyond the clouds and into the blue.”

“All that has happened was not to break your heart,
But that you draw unto me right from the start.
Each pain and stress lives within its day,
But seek you me and I’ll show the way.”

“Though your path is not clear,
I will always be near!
Should your journey be light,
To be human would loose sight!”

“Draw unto me for the strength and love that I have today.
Draw from me your strength, not by world’s sway!
For the kingdom of Heaven is near,
Where there is no pain, no fear.”

Remember!  God loves you!

EXCERPT FROM NEW BOOK:

Most of my life I have had many friends of many wonderful, spiritual backgrounds. Each has shared his or her perspective on healing each with Bible references.  I have heard much about healing and I do feel strongly that healing is an honest, God given gift for us.

I have been prayed for, prayed over, slain in the spirit, heard angels singing and seen far to many physicians of medicine and holistic healing.  I am open minded within the realm of the Scriptures.

My response to not having been healed is - I have been … to the point that God wants me at this day and time.  I believe that God’s ways are higher and mightier than our.  We cannot fully fathom the mind of God.  God has healed incredible heart ache and pain in me and in so doing has brought me closer to His hearty as I listen to Him.  He has given me a new testimony!

Had I not been disabled mildly as a young man I doubt that I would’ve entered into home health care as an attendant.  I would not have seen my last client accept the Lord. I would never have seen a mentally handicapped friend accept Jesus as Lord before a congregation of hundreds and I would not be enjoying sharing the Lord in the gym.

Part of my disability is hereditary (scoliosis), but it is not the product of generational sin.  It is just the mechanics.

My disability is a visual accountability of God’s design for me and those who are bold enough to ask will hear of how I have been made stronger when I was weak.  Then, I learn to listen.

If need be I tell them of Paul who’s eye sight was not good, Moses who had a speech impediment and more.

You see, the question is really not “why did God not heal me,” but “God?  What can I do with it to further the kingdom of Heaven?”  The more I seek His will without the struggle the more I give Him control.  He has wonderful plans for me!  Ones that I could never imagine, but will cherish forever. (Knowing you has been proof of that!)

You see … literally … my weakness is my strength!

New Pain! The Other Side of the Coin

by Richard B. Lee (suffers from scoliosis, hypertension, neuropathy) www.freewebs.com/rooroocackler

Ho, ah! Spasm! What a ride! New pain and what a ride it was! My left elbow just went flying up, cracked itself on the car door and my left hand went flopping around just as if I were waving at some one! I make more friends that way!You want a real ride? You can still find it and it beats dwelling on how much things hurt. It’s all in the relationship that we keep with the Lord. In that there is a peace that surpasses all understanding and a joy of the Lord that is absolutly unequaled! Don’t get me wrong! I know pain intimatly and personally. I don’t make light of it, but I refuse to live in it when I can live for Christ. I figure that what He went through is more than enough to understand what I am going through.I’ve seen terrorism in Africa. I held my wife and watched her die at the age of 41. I have discovered form of scoliosis, hypertension, neuropathies unemaginable! I have been approached by witches and satanists in two countries and two states. I’ve been shot at and had knives pulled on me. But, in every single one of these events I’ve trusted God when running away would’ve been easier. I found that the distance of running to God was much shorter!! And, in each instance I’ve discovered restoration! That, alone, brings on the joy of the Lord!Who said that walking the path of faith was going to be straight? Got a hold of Jesus? It’s a good idea because the benefits of His life insurance are out of this world! Let’s bring our friends too and lap up that grace and glory of the King!Whoa! Yikers that hurt! That must of looked funny from another view. Back spasm that time. Made me sit up nice and straight too! The neighbor’s a pretty, blonde nurse! If that back spasm hadn’t set me straight I’d never seen her through the window! Hmmmm, I wonder if she’s a Christian?

Tangible Witness                                                      r.b. lee     A waspish man sat on the stoop of his front porch.  He leaned forward resting his chin gently on one, bony arm.  The lines of his face were deep and seemed as though they were etched in by time.     His brow was furrowed by thought and deep concern.  He had seen the fierce blowing sands in wars of years long gone.  They played across the screen of his mind like a movie that reached out to grab one’s soul!      His thin, gray hair was merely patches that could never cover his pain.  Should he walk any distance he could never cover his past.  He had seen the children starving in other worlds.  He had looked death in the face and defied it’s wanted victory.    He had reached out to the heavens and cried out, “Father? Where is Your love?”  And, he had stood beside the roadside to watch the Samaritan’s hand.

“My love,” came a sweet, strong voice. “Is deep within you.  My Spirit came to live within you when you chose life. It has stood against the test of time.  It has seen the hate of men and it has seen wars and rumors of wars.  It has tasted death and won out in victory.”

“My love was with man when he thrust a spear into My side and placed a crown of thorns upon My head.  It was with John on the Isle of Patmos.  It was with Moses, Jonah, Elijah and many, many more … and today they are with Me.

“Did you hear my words?  My Spirit is within you just as it was in each of them and through them My Word was given just as it is through you today.

“Have you not heard the words of the prophets?!  They have spoken of My return.  My love has been layed out upon the earth and so shall my vengeance be.

“Where is My love?  It is here for all to accept if they will only seek.  It was there for all when the cross slammed firmly into rock and it was there when you forgot ME.  I never left.”

A great tear welled in the old man’s eye.  It traveled ever so carefully down each line of his cheek until it found rest in the palm of his hand.  There,  the spreading tear became a rough cross.

“I died that ALL may live.  I rose that all may live in victory!” The voice of God crossed his heart and he stood firmly, hands towards Heaven and shouted out loudly, “Father!  My weakness I leave for You!  My heart and soul for You, Father, that all who bear witness this day look past the flesh to see You that is in me … the victory that over comes the WORLD!

“And .. the Kingdom of God … is within you.”
