ACTION NEEDED FOR SAFE CLEANING PRODUCTS!
Sign the petition and tell a friend today!
Dear WVE friends,
Now is the right time for companies to hear from you. If you haven’t already, sign the petition for safe cleaning products today! If you have, tell a friend about the petition now.
It’s been nearly two months since we kicked off the Safe Cleaning Products Initiative. The amazing response from all of you, and the subsequent reaction from the industry, tells us that we are making waves.
To date, more than 12,000 people have downloaded the report, Household Hazards (PDF), off the WVE website alone. Countless print, TV, radio, and online news sources and blogs have covered the report, allowing us to reach millions of people across the United States.
You want to know that the products you use everyday are healthy and safe for your families. You want to purchase products without worrying about the long-term health impacts it may cause. You want the information you need to make smart choices. You want ingredients listed on product labels and you want toxic ingredients removed from products you use.
Already, companies are starting to listen! In a recent Missoulian article, Doug Fratz, vice president for scientific and technical affairs for the Consumer Safety Products Association implied that the industry may be willing to consider labeling its products with a full listing of ingredients just as the food and cosmetics industries already do. They need to hear that this is exactly what their customers want.
Take Action Now! Sign our petition urging cleaning companies to remove toxic chemicals from household cleaning products.
We need YOUR help to reach our goal of 10,000 signatures by November 1st!
Help us reach our goal. Tell a friend.
Finally, donate today! Help us raise the money we need to convince an industry leader to do the right thing.
Thank you for working to protect the health of women, men and families everywhere!
Best,
The Women of WVE
